1976 Corvette A/C fuse blows constantly. Why?

Question by rdbrown1 Reward: 100 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
I have a 1976 Corvette that constantly blows the A/C 25A fuse. The fan will quit also and the A/C will not engage.

Clarification by rdbrown1
The fuse blew again today without the A/C engaged only the fan. Will try lubricating but think the fan is enclosed. Will find out.
