2000 f250 front end noise

Question by wingnut1 Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
I have an 2000 F-250. I have a knocking noise on both sides of the front end. It doesn't matter if its a large pothole or small. I used to be a mechanic so I'm no dummy with cars. I know my ball joints, tie rods and all that hardware is in excellent condition. Is there a common problem with leaf spring bushings or possibly the axles flopping around inside the housing. I can't seem to find anything loose on the front end and the noise is getting louder-help

it sounds like you could possibly have weak or bad shocks.
