AOL connects automatically when not wanted

Question by Margot Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
My AOL keeps trying to connect, and sometimes does connect, even when I don't want it to. It pops up an AOL Dialer box, even though I have broadband connection. I have free AOL with Time-Warner Broadband.

go to internet options in control panel and go to dialer settings and tick box for do not dial connection.
