Are there Interchangeable parts between seat and vw

Are the parts from a seat Ibiza 1996 1.4 and a vw golf mk2 1.6 1991 interchangeable? Not just the engine parts but also things like the dash? I own a seat ibiza and a golf and in all the books i have about the seat its said that its basically the same as a golf. the main things I'd want to change from the seat onto the golf would be the dash and the front seats. Also I just had new brakes (complete) fitted on the seat will they go on the golf?
Any help greatly appreciated.
