Question by DEE20002 Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
I HAVE A LINCOLN LS 2002 V8 CAR. IT IS OVER HEATING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG? I HAVE CHECK ALL FUILDS AND THEY ARE ALL FILLED, THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ANY LINKS. WHEN I CHECK THE OWNERS GUIDE IT SAID THAT THE ENGINE LIGHT IS THE EMISSION LIGHT BUT NOT TELLING ME WHATS REALLY WRONG. AND SINCE THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING HOT & ENGINE LIGHT IS ON ITS BEEN RUNNING ROUGH.

Sounds like you have a blown head gasket. The blown gasket can cause the engine to run hot and the cylinder to misfire which will cause the service light to be on.
