COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHAT A 728I AUTO SHOULD DO TO THE GALLON

HI i asked this question before but i just had to make sure , it is my 728i bmw
AUTO it is doing 33 miles to the gallon on the motor way,staying beteen 45 to 50
but in the town i am just getting 13 miles to the gallon,surely this could not be right has anyone got the same car ,that could tell me what thjey are getting.

Mine gets about 17 mpg city and 25 highway.

Its automatic 728i year is 2000.

According to this review, someone mentions that they average 24 to 30 miles per gallon. http://www.ciao.co.uk/BMW_728i__Review_5350906

Assuming that 24mpg is a combination of city and highway, they probably average closer to 17 or 18 just city driving.
