Can I give blood if I have Sjogren's Syndrome?

I have Sjogren's Syndrome. Can I still give blood?

It is a very noble act to want to donate blood, however with Sjogren's syndrome , most blood banks will not take it. Besides the antibodies that may be present from this autoimmune disorder , many patients are getting medications which are not desirable for the recipients.
