Can i incubate abandoned eggs after about a week?

What if the mother got killed by a cat? I dont think it has been a week yet but i have a house lamp over them trying to incubate them. Do you think it will work?

yes providing that u got the eggs still warm, if they were cold probly won't work, ideal temp is around 85 degrees farinhiet, and also roll the eggs to different sides, they usually hatch in about 30 to 40 days, but only if they were warm when u put them in incubator, hope this helped

30 to 40 days how can you say that when you dont know what they are.you should use an ifrared lamp and as todd says turn them regularly.hold the egg up to a very bright light and you should be able to see if the egg has an embrio in it.if you keep em warm and inspect regularly you may see a change in growth if not afraid they non viable.

yes i assumed it was chicken eggs, sorry michael if you meant other kind of egg
