Can u pls identify this insect for me?!!?

Pls help me.....I need to identify an insect a sicko put in my abode.....thinking she would scare me.....it's very large....brown.....it's 2 back legs are big and long enough to keep it's body up off the floor. Have never seen such a bug....feel she must have purchased it in a pet store to feed an animal who eats insects. If anyone who knows insects can identify it, I would appreciate it very very much.
