Chevy electrical

Question by sbolmer Reward: Log in to view Status: Pending a resolution
My 2005 chevy malibu started to sputter and died while driving. It sounds like its not getting gas and I just filled it. When I turn the key and after I stop there is a noise in the throttlebody. What can I check for?

Sounds like the fuel pump quit or the fuel pump relay went out. You can disconect the fuel line at the injectors or look for a fuel pressure check point on the injector rail to make sure you are getting fuel. Then turn the key on and see if you have fuel.
