What is the largest city in the world?

It is Tokio, Japan. In terms of population and land area according to txtmania , the world's truly largest cities are Tokyo, Mexico City, Sao Paolo, New York City, Bombay, Shanghai and Los Angeles. However, if only the land size counts and not the population density , there is a city named Davao in the Philippines , which has large forests areas and is claimed by some to be the biggest.
