To add to complex numbers
Add all real numbers together .
Add all complex numbers together .
the general formula is as.
( a+bi ) + ( c+di ) = ( a+c ) + ( b+d )i
so
( 1+2i ) + ( 1+ i) = ( 1+1 ) + ( 2+1 )i
= 2+3i
