Convert Powerpoint presentation to DVD

Is there any way to convert a Powerpoint presentation to be playable on a DVD player? Preferably a freeware application.

There are software packages that you can pay for to do this, but a better bet is probably to save your powerpoint as a series of pictures (File-> Save As...) which can be done in one step. Then use a free photo to DVD software package like http://www.dvd-photo-slideshow.com/

I'm sure there are many other photo->DVD packages out there.
