my partner recently passed away aged 48, he had unstableised diabetes, his readings were always too high, please check your sugars every day and if your not sure go to your clinic, he died of too much acid in his lungs,it is so important to take insulin as prescribed, and to eat a simple but cheap diet, and please if you smoke try and quit, long term affects can lead to lots of complications. blindness, high blood pressure, heart attacks, taking care of your feet is also important, a lot of walking can cause sores and absseses, which if untreated can lead to serious complications, and i,m sure there are lots more, i also have an aunt with diabetes and she has always eaten well, and checks her sugars every day she is quite healthy and is 67 years old
