Ford Windstar 1998 3.8L. Vehicle suddenly dies for no reason to be ascertained at this time. For the most part I am able to start it up again immediately but it is happening more frequently now. Any suggestions.

This is difficult to diagnose without seeing the vehicle. It could be any number of things man. you need to perform some diagnostic work first to provide a little detail.

Does the engine just die suddenly? If so, this indicates the fault is on the electrical side of things. If the engine splutters, tries to keep going and then dies, it is indicative of a fuel problem.

Have you noticed also if the engine cuts out only when starting from cold and the problem disappears when the engine is up to normal running temperature? Or is the fault more intermittent than that.

The best course of action is to take a note of the symptoms as suggested above and take your car along to a reputable garage. You can hook newer vehicles up to a tech2 that returns diagnostic faults, but i doubt that a 98 windstar has that capability
