Heater not getting hot replaced water and thermostat

Question by fixin Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
I have a 2001 Plymouth Neon. Just recently I replaced the water pump and the thermostat. My heater only gets warm. On cold days you can't even tell if you have it "on" or not. What would cause my heater not to get hot?
