Help with name of 80s Sci-Fi movie!!

Iam trying to remember the name of an 80s scifi movie.

its set in space and the star is some kind of pilot who crashs on a planet after fighting aliens. one of the aliens also crashes and the end up becoming friends in order to survive.
the alien is later killed, By a group of miners i think?, and the man avenges the alien by killing all the men who killed his alien friend.

Im not sure who stars in it, maybe Arnie, harrison ford or dennis quaid? but i dont know those are long shot gueses.

I think Dennis Quaid stars in it and its called Enemy Mines.
