One of the body defenses against bacteria and infection is by increasing the body temperature. This kills bacteria and help to recuperate most of the time. However sometimes the bacteria are resistant to the heat and win the battle so the body continues to keep a high temperature (above 103F) for a long period of time without results. High temperature for many days is dangerous and it is then necessary to use drugs to fight the infection and to lower the temperature. Some of the symptoms will be dehydration, headaches ,muscle aches ,weakness and in severe case hallucination and convulsion .
