How do I identify an origianl Dega painting?

I am trying to find out if what I have is an original Edgar Dega pastel. Who would I go to for authentication? I have looked in many print and poster stores and cannot find a print of what I have. This leads me to question if what I have is an original unknown work of Dedgas. It is pastel on a blue style of paper. The subject is a ballernia dancer in a ballet pose. She is in a white tutu and looking over her left shoulder.
