it will last for a almost year if do not treat it with some dry gas or other fuel treatment if its going to sit for a long time or has been sitting you should put some treatment in it wal-mart has it for next to nothing

usually gasoline sis ok for about a yr or so before it transforms into laquer thinner, so yes either add more gas, at least double what is in the tank, or try to add octane booster or something like that before you try to start it so you don't suck bad gas into the carb and feul injectors
