How to build speed in a young skater

Hockey Question: My son is 10, he has been playing for 3 years. His skills are "through the roof", he's a very good skater, great passer, and has a very good shot for a 10 year old. Q. He is not as quick as some of the other players. Can you suggest something to improve his speed. I've tried the skate mill, but he doesn't really like it. We've gone to power skating, and this is good, but is there something else to try. Cheers.
