If your on probation, can your Probation officer give you a violation for not cleaning your house? I live at home, and my little bother and sister are SLOBS! My P.O came for a home visit, and asked me if I was working, which I'm not YET due to Just being released. Hesaid how do I pay rent, I replied @ the time I don't have a means to but am looking for work. He informed me my JOB is to keep my Mom's house clean, and if the next time he shows up it's messy that he's gonna give me a violoation! Is that legal????????????????????????????
afraid if the swine says so .it aint the law but you have to comply with what the power crazy small minded P.O. says .ask him to put it in writing and then go back to the court that gave you the order and ask the court official for his oppinion. you in a sticky posistion coz they seem to make up the rules as you go along.ask the idiot for everything in writing and be nice cos it sounde like the po you got aint a happy bunny so keep your po sweet and ask the right people. i suppose the answer is to keep away from that type of pewople. good luck mate. ps po in uk are power crazy divs as well.
no he can't violate you for having dirty house, but like others are saying, if he mentions to clean it, he is probly figures that u got time, and that u don't pay ur mom rent, so help her and this shows him that u r willing to do for your mother while she is helping you out, and it shows him your willingness to be upstanding and do whatevr it takes to stay out of jail, but no there is no law that says your house has to be clean, but there r laws concerning livability and if the house is unfit to have human occupancy, they can start a condemming action on the house, has to be fit for human occupancy, if he determines that it is unfit to live in he can say this and revke your parole on grounds that you don't have a place to live that is good for human occupancy, hope this helps
I don't know why you are on probation. He thinks that since you aren't working, you should be able to at least clean house. Maybe you can clean the house and invite him back over and he will forget the violation.
