Moving Furniture

Question by Gkatsch Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
We just purchased a couch. It is 41"h x 91"w x 38"d. Will it fit through an opening 30" wide x 84 1/2" high? The legs can be removed, they are about 3" high. Thank you for your help.

I'm doubtful, but maybe. With the legs off, if the arms aren't too tall with respect to the height of the chair back, the top of the couch is thin with respect to the depth of the couch, and you can carry the couch straight in the opening without any turns. Basically, you have to have at least one dimension of the couch smaller than the smallest dimension of the opening. if you can line up the couch straight on the opening, tilt it so the top of the couch is over the front edge of the couch and you can get the arms thru the opening (if not too tall), then maybe.
