My Black Ghost Knife is spinning around in circles???

My Black Ghost Knife is spinning/swimming around in circles, he is only 2 inches big and in a large 900x450mm tank with 2 bumble bee fish and a haplo (leopard print catfish)and is covering the whole area of the tank but swimming in this irratic circular motion. He isn't disturbing the other fish and will stop the odd spinning when we hold food in our hand and he will sit in (not spinning) and eat the food, but as soon as hand is removed, he starts the circular spinning again.Is there something wrong with my ghost knife??
