My cat is fighting with my new kitten.

I got a new kitten yesterday. we called it louie. our old cat is hissing spitting and growling at louie. What should i do?

Your cat is jealous of the attention the new kitten is getting. Give lots of love to your old cat to reassure him/her. If you can, leave the kitten in a small cage, so the cat can look and sniff him but not harm him . With time he will accept Louie but in the meantime ,protect him. I hope it will work.

you should defenitly give some time for them to be friendly. sometimes it also depends on what sex they are.females dont get along with other females and the same with males as easy.slowly introduce them alittle at a time. they should be able to see each other often through the day alittle at a time for a few weeks till they get used to each other.
