Need advice on a puncture wound on a dogs ear.

We just had two dogs get into a fight. The older dog now has a puncture wound completely through his ear. It's about in the middle of the flap of his ear. We trimmed the hair around the puncture so that we can see it clearly. It has been cleaned with warm water and we applied triple antibiotic cream. It is a Saturday and the vets are closed and will not be open until Monday except the emergency vet which will be incredibly expensive. All that I've read says not to bandage a puncture. What I would like to know is if we continue to clean it 3 or 4 times a day and apply the triple antibiotic cream, should we butterfly it or not? It seems we should, but I'm afraid to do so if it will make it worse. Also, is there anything else we should be doing?

just keep cleaning it dont try and butterfly it yourself if the puncture isnt too big it should heal on its own keep useing the cream so it doesnt get infected
