No tail lights or instrument lights.

I have a 1997 Prelude that has stump-ed me. There was a bit of smoke that came from under the dash and near the Air Conditioning vent on the drivers side. I wrote it off as vapor from the AC. Now the Tail lights and the instrument console lights do not work. Break lights are good, interior lights are good, all else is good. Any Ideas what smoked. I can't find any blown fuses or other obvious things.
