Oil in my head gaskets!

Question by sara828 Reward: Log in to view Status: Pending a resolution
I have oil in my head gaskets, and apparently its not supposed to be there! My car is always low on oil, I can fill it up and it will be empty within a week. Should I replace seals or wires or something else to stop the leaking, and will that maybe stop the leaking of oil into the head gasket area? Specifically, when you pull out the "spark plug boot", it's dripping with oil and there's oil all over the inside. The auto technician who discovered it was amazed my car even runs! Is there anything I can do?

it sounds like if you can see all of the oil on the outside of the heads then you probably just have your valve covers leaking. replace them first and then wash the engine off real good. recheck for leaks after running the engine for awhile and monitor the oil level. you could have more than one oil leak if you lose all of the oil within a week, or your valve covers are leaking very bad.
