I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. About a week ago, my 15 year old daughter left the door opened and my 26 year old daughter discovered it about 4 hours later. You guessed it...dead battery. I called a towing company to start the car, and he managed to reset the passkey system after fiddling with it for about an hour. It starts, but the radio is not working.
I know I need a passkey number to get it working, but I have no idea where to find it, and once I do find it, need to know how to put it in so I can get the radio back. I am told this is not difficult, but when I called the dealership, they want to charge me $40. I know its not much, but to me it might as well be a $1,000 right now. So could someone tell me how to find the pass key override, and then how to put it in? |
