the rule of thumb, is tee it in center of stance, however they say that if you tee it in front of left foot you will strike the ball more on the downswing witch will in turn put more loft on the ball sending it on a higher trajectory, where as when you tee it in front of your right foot it will give less loft making the ball fly with lower trajectory, this is the case suposedly if you are right handed, and you get perfect conditions and impact of the ball, i have taken lessons and thats what i was told, i do remember that, watch the pro's, they more or less all tee it in the canter of their stance, but like i said, that is the theory, witch we all know lol never works for us,lol probly others will say i'm wrong, but i do remember my instructor saying this, and i worked as mechanic on a 36 hole golf course for 16 years and counting, so hope it helps, and good luck with ur game,
