Steering wheel moves ... if the column needs to be replaced, is a do it yourself

Question by LESHURE1 Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
I have a 1994 Buick Skylark with tilt steering. When the car is in park (or being driven) the steering wheel can be moved from side to side and up and down. Is there some way I can tighten the steering wheel or do I have to replace the steering column? If the steering column needs to replaed, is it a do it yourself job for someone with a little mechanical skill?
