Strange noises when steering

My car makes a whining sound whenever I turn the steering wheel. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

It sounds like your power steering system may be low on fluid. Try adding fluid and see if the noise goes away. If the noise returns within a few weeks then you probably have a leak somewhere. Check around the power steering system for leaks (the fluid is usually a redish or pinkish color).
