Sounds like it might be the tube or whatever they use for that now a days. When ours did that we just went and got a new one with income taxes. If you can't afford to buy a new one, I suggest taking it to a tv repairman and getting them to look at it.

Could be a problem with the video source. If the cable box went dead for example, then it may just be displaying a blue screen. Try connecting a different video source such as a video game console or a VCR and see if the TV displays an image.

I purchased a Magnavox 17 inch TV MODEL NO. 27MS3404/17 APPROXIMATELY 21/2 years ago and now refuses to Power -on. This was a slow Power-on problem as it developed into a electronic {maybe a start circuitry relay}I say that because i currently have the back off the TV pulled a blk rectangular small plastic top off such re-lay.The part seems to be going, then returning back to the stop contact re-lay contact i mean. That was the original problem but with a start-on command given once again the TV would Power-on after start attempts contiually increased until the TV would'nt start -up at ALL !! I heard this may be a common problem for this Magnavox. Help
