I have a Magnavox tv set Model No. 27MS3404/17 and it requires several power turn-ons ,I use the remote, for the TV to stay on,picture and sound. What could be the problem,it does click with each power-on signal and i have an associates in Electrnics as well as a duel trace o-scope. where would be the closest to buy a schematic, in the north of Pgh. near Cranberry Township?? Thankyou

I was fortunate enough to read two other scenaireo's which were basically inquires/questions exactly relating to the tee my TV power-up problem. Exact TV make and model No. The two problematic technacol on/off switch had two faulty components. The first was indeed in the power-up electronic circuitry, the faulty component was a relay!! TheSECOUND THE TECHNICIAN just mentioned a bad capacitor without even saying anything else,,like was it an electronically in the same or some other circuit?? Is that possiable maybe either component causing this problem?? THE RELAY SEEMS MORE LIKELY,AT LEAST TO ME!!

Just to impress the importance at least to me locating the schematic , hopefully in the North of Pgh. like Cranberry Township about ten miles from where i'm at,,Zelienople. If that drawing cann be located and I could then be notified,my foremost thankyou would be of the mst sincerty!!Thankyoun for your attention into this matter.

Sorry about the delay in responding.

I don't have the schematics to that set, but do you have access to a voltmeter? Some voltmeters have capacitance testers built in which may be able to pinpoint which capacitor went bad. I would go that route first, but as I'm sure you're aware, you have to be very careful in dealing with electronic cirtuits even if they're unplugged due to charges that may remain. Please post back with your results.
