Because the "Earth" is an "Apple" and the "Moon" is an "Orange".
More importantly than, "why is an "Apple" red and,
An "Orange" is uuumm, "Orange"?
Seriously though, how do you know the moons gravity is
Less than the earths? Think about that. If the moon were not
So close to earth or perhaps closer, would that effect the
Gravitational pull. Does not the earths gravity change from
Season to season? No?!. Why then, do we feel much heavier in
In the winter? Why does our car burn more gas in winter, when
there is no snow of course? Don't say cold. A ccar runs better
cold, well better warmed engine than hot hot like summer.
