2x+5-3X=2

The principle of an equation is that if we add a number on one side ,the same number should be added on the other side of the equation ,to keep it equal.
In order to keep all the x on one side and the plain numbers on the other side we can substract 5 on both side then we get:
2X +5-3X =2
2X + 5-3X -5 = 2-5
since +5-5 =0
so we are left with 2x-3x = -3
Let replace 2x-3x by -x and the equation will be.
-x = -3 Now we can multiply both side by -1 and we get
x=3
