Tropical fish aquarium temperature

Question by hypo578 Reward: 865 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Answered
I have a tank full of different types of tropical fish (I don't even know what kinds they are). What temperature range do most tropical fish like to be at?

Also, what are common behaviors that I should look for to determine if the temperature is too hot or too cold?

The ideal temperature range for tropical fish is 76 degrees F to 78 degrees F.
They should swim easily through the water in a smooth manner. Their fins should be erect and they should be moving not laying on the bottom unless they are bottom catfish, which stay on the bottom most of the time.

most of tropical fish like it between 76 to 80F, you should get a thermometer strip or just simply get a fish tank thermometer. if the fish are moving and swimming normaly, so not agitated or seem stressed you should be fine with the tempature. :)
