Which is cheaper - US Postal Service or UPS

What is cheaper to send a package ~~25 lbs from tx to ct - UPS or the good ole US Postal Service? (I am already assuming that DHL and FEDEX would be more expensive - but I could be wrong.)

I just shipped two packages between TN and ME. UPS was DOUBLE what USPS Priority Mail charged for very similar packages. Both got to their destinations on time.

It easy cheaper to walk into the post office and to have them ship out your package compared to doing it online and shipping it ups. So all in all usps is cheaper
