Why would a 2 year old cry about a movie?

What if any disorder would make a 2 year old child become so involved in something sad happening in a movie that they would become so emotional as to cry for 20 to 30 minutes?

It does not seem that the child has any disorder. Toddlers are very fussy and unpredictable because of their new awareness to the surroundings. I would suggest avoiding situations that are known to upset him. He may cry for several reasons, one may be the movie being scary and making him feeling insecure. It may be better not to show him movies which are not for his age. Sometimes, even if they do not understand everything, what ever they can relate to brings up too many emotions for this age. Another reason , maybe the room is dark during a movie ,or he wants attention or he want to eat or drink but it seems more likely that the movie frightened him and that may have a lasting impact on his life.
Even we may be hanted sometimes by terrifying scenes in movie.
