How many hectares of arable farming in the UK in 1900 compared to 1950 and today ?

Page 3 on the following link graphs trends in agricultural land use in the Wiltshire region. The paper states that changes in land use are similar throughout the U.K.

The U.K. has approximately 24.1 million hectares of area in total. According to Wikipedia, an estimated 25% of that land is arable (as of 1993).

That data seems to closely match the 2002 data found here:

Based on the first link and the last link, you should be able to extrapolate the data across the entire U.K. with a fairly accurate estimate. Hope this helps.
