yes its passed on through blood and fluid,if the coldsore is been picked,cracked or in any way gone through the scab, providing it a kiss or the virus comes into contact with any of your bodily fluid good chance youll catch it,you cant catch it by it touching your skin

The cold sore is a form of a virus. You should refrain from contact (kissing) until it is heal. If the cold sores recur frequently, you should see a doctor. It could be the onset of the herpes virus. Do not pick at it or it will spread further. Also can cause a secondary infection. Hope this helps.

cold sore herpes virus they all the same and when the sore is red ond weeping or open it IS infectious,wherever the sore may be.it is not passed on by urine it is passed on dy direct physical contact with the infected area when the sore is opn and not healed.when sore not there there is very limited chance of spreading.natalie is WRONG when she says skin contact wont spread this virus....that is exactly how it is transferred.

The problem being is that the cold sore is usually a result of having herpes. You can have mouth sores or genital sores as there are two types of herpes. And yes, you can catch herpes form a cold sore, especially if you engage in oral sex
