cannot access greetings workshop

Question by yetta Reward: 1000 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
i got a new laptop for xmas,i installed greetings workshop on it,it said installation was successful and the icon appeared on the desktop, but when i click on it, "sorry iam having trouble with this database" is what keeps coming up. i have uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same.Bugs me!!! can you help?

After Greetings Workshop has been installed, right click on the "Greetings Workshop" icon on your desktop. A list of options will appear. Click on "Properties". Then click on the compatibility tab. Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows 98/Windows Me".

This should work. Please post back with your results so that we can further troubleshoot if needed.

Try install Netframework 3 from Microsoft, some program need the latest Net. to run..
Update any other third party software the Workshop might use, like Java - and even Windows...
