I have a 2000 monte carlo my key wont turn and my stering wheel wont lock

you probabably need to have the key switch replaced. or if it is a tilt steering your steering ujoint could be bad. check to see if the steering wheel and column has any up and down play, if it does then you have a bad ujoint.
