car wont find last ratio setting in 4th gear (auto)

i have a 94 hyundai lantra 1.6i gls auto with electroncily controlled transmission.
when its cold it wont change to its last ratio in 4th gear and revs at 3000rpm at 60mph. when youve gone through the gears about 4times and its warmed up it will find its last ratio in 4th gear and rev at 2500rpm at 60mph...can anyone help please..
