central locking inop!

hi! i have a 2000 mercedes cl500 and i went to open it with my remote and nothing happened so i changed the batteries and it is still the same,i have to open the fuel cap with emergency switch.also the car seems to of gone into limp mode cos it wont kick down properly!have used a scanner and it said no faults,also checked fuses under bonnet and back seat and they seem fine,cant find any more fuses in car,and dont know which one operates c/locking, any suggestions ?thanks chris
