Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic. Ciprofloxacin is used to treat infections of the skin, lungs, airways, bones, and joints caused by susceptible bacteria. Ciprofloxacin is also frequently used to treat urinary infections . Ciprofloxacin is effective in treating infectious diarrheas caused by E. coli.
