How do I make my hydrangers be blue or pink?

I think I need to add something to the soil. I'm not sure what.

You can add aluminum to the soil to make the hydrangeas blue in color.
To make them pink is a little tougher; You have to essentially remove the aluminum from the soil to make them pink.
