how are computers being used in a mathematic careers?

also large mass number crunching and building algorithmic equasions to enable the user to perform what would be a long and labuorious task.

Another way is in statistics...in medicine, forensic science, finance, decision-making, the list goes on. Statistics deals with subjects that are not exact like algebra, like if you've got cancer, what are your chances of dying within 5 years, given that you're a smoker and your mum died of cancer, etc etc. Statistics has only taken off relatively recently, largely because of the development of computers.
