my little dog bites my grown kids heels when they come in my house. is there anything i can do to stop that?

The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts. Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat. Once your dog accepts that you are in charge, when somebody comes in, call it to you and make it down stay. Then, if the people want to, they can come pet the dog while it remains in its down stay.

the way i control what my dogs and horses bite on is by hot pepper and rember to empty the water so they cant wash it off till they see you give them water dont let them beg for water for no longer than a couple of mins this really does work.

OK... you can you said its a small dog right? well all small dogs are called "ankle bitters" and how you stop that is every time it dose it do something like put it in a cage and say IN A VERY DOMINATE VOICE "NO" every time it bites...
