engine wont start after cooling

2003 nissan/sentra/1.8 after hot engine shutdown and 45 min.cooling,does not start on first try, but always on second try.no engine attention light shows.curiuos to know! hilmer.

2003/sentra/1.8. engine turns over.if i keep the key on it will start haltingly,after what seem lie a long time cranking.on second try it starts right away.after starting it runs well with no problems.hilmer.

By not starting can you be more descriptive? Does it make any sounds like it's trying to start? How long do you hold the key in the start position? Please describe it with as much detail as you can.

It might be your main relay. It should look a lot like the turn signal relay. You can find the turn signal relay by listening for a clicking sound when your turn signal on. Then look nearby for a box that is similar. A lot of times the solder joints become weak not allowing enough current to pass through even though they look fine. When the circuit is warm, the joints expand allowing enough current to flow. This is just one possible solution to your problem. If replacing the main relay doesn't work, please post back and I can try to further troubleshoot.
